You can use your My Number Card as a health insurance card

Since October 20, 2021, the My Number Card has been accepted in place of a health insurance card at accepting medical care institutions and pharmacies.

• * Check to confirm that the medical care institution or pharmacy accepts My Number Card as a health insurance card before presenting your card.

How to know accepting medical care institutions and pharmacies

You can use your My Number Card as a health insurance card at medical care institutions and pharmacies that display the Myna Uketsuke stickers or posters.

Advantages

• 

  With your consent, the medical care institution or pharmacy can review various information, including your past drug history and information on specified medical diagnoses.

• 

  You can link medical care cost information digitally when preparing your tax return.

• 

  Even without submitting a Certificate of Application of Maximum Copayment Amount, this will exempt you from any obligations to make out of pocket payments beyond the maximum copayment at medical care institutions and pharmacies.

• 

  You can view a range of information at any time on your Mynaportal^*, including your past medication history and information on specified medical diagnoses.

  After changing employers, you can use your My Number Card as a health insurance card without waiting to receive your new health insurance card.

How to use your My Number Card as a health insurance card

You need to apply to use your My Number Card as a health insurance card.

You can apply in the following ways:

• Using a smartphone
• At a Seven Bank ATM
• Over the counter at certain drugstore chains
• Using a personal computer and an IC card reader
• Using a card reader with facial recognition at a medical care institution

Applying using a smartphone

Check the following requirements:

1. My Number Card
2. Smartphone capable of reading a My Number Card
3. Mynaportal app is installed

Scan the code to install the Mynaportal app.

STEP1

Launch the Mynaportal app.

STEP2

Tap Apply.

STEP3

Read and consent to the terms of use.

• * You also can register to use Mynaportal at the same time.

STEP4

Scan your My Number Card.
Enter your four-digit PIN, place your My Number Card firmly against the smartphone, and tap on the Scan button.
