One-day complete checkups
One-day complete checkups cover the same examination items covered by complete checkups (one-day) provided by each medical care institution.
- ** You can get either a general health examination or a one-day complete checkup once a year.
Eligible persons
- * Insured persons, dependents, Voluntarily and Continuously Insured Persons, and dependents of Voluntarily and Continuously Insured Persons aged 35 or older
(The age referred to is the age as of March 31 of each year. Those nearing their 75th birthday should get the One-day complete checkup by the day before the birthday.)
Copayment
- * One-day: 5,000 yen (The maximum subsidy amount for a one-day complete checkup you can get with the copayment amount shown on the left [i.e., 5,000 yen] is 50,000 yen.)
- * If the cost of a one-day complete checkup exceeds the maximum subsidy amount, the excess amount must also be paid by the examinee together with the copayment.
Application period
- * March 15 - December 27 of each year
Examination period
- * April 1 - March 31 of each year
Notes
- You cannot get the annual checkup if you fail to complete the application procedures by December 27.
- You cannot get a checkup if you no longer qualify for coverage by the Health Insurance Society as of the examination date.
You will be billed for the entire cost of the checkup, including the portion usually paid by health insurance, if you get a checkup when no longer qualified. (This includes cases involving retroactive disqualification.)
Examining institutions
You can be examined at examining institutions that have contracted with Wellness Communications Corporation.

How to apply for and get the examination
- Make an appointment on the i-Wellness health checkup appointment site (https://i-wellness-p.com/j00/j00101.jsf) or by calling the health checkup appointment center (0120-783-026).
- Make an appointment no later than two weeks before your preferred checkup date.

Notes
- Ages indicated are as of the end of the fiscal year (March 31).
- In principle, insured persons should get the periodic health examinations conducted by the employer.
- You can get either a general health examination or a one-day complete checkup only once a year.
- If the cost of a one-day complete checkup exceeds the maximum subsidy amount, you must pay the excess amount together with your copayment to the examining institution.
- Pay the examining institution the actual cost of any optional examinations other than those specified by the Society above.
- Get a brain exam in the years in which your age is an even number (i.e., every other year).
- The Society will pay any documentation costs.
- You must be an eligible member of the Society as of the health checkup date.
- An individual who gets a health checkup after losing eligibility as a Society member will be required to reimburse the Society for all health checkup costs incurred, including portions that would otherwise be paid by the Society.
